The American Bulldog is a powerful, athletic, medium-large sized dog with great muscular strength and endless endurance. There is a wide size and weight latitude in the breed, which vary according to the type, but overall the American bulldog is always "well balanced". Exaggeration of any part of the dog would reduce his effectiveness at work.

The American Bulldogs character is alert and inquisitive, bold and fearless without being hostile or overly aggressive. At the "Steel Haus Bulls" all dogs are bred for size, beauty, and stable temperament that makes them outstanding companion dogs and home guard dog, protective of his family. They work well with other breeds and get along with other pets when raised with them. My dogs aren't the type to wait for a command, but can assess the situation by themselves, and react appropriately and concentrate on the task at hand without being distracted.

Our goals are to produce healthy, strong, high pain tolerance, medium to large American bulldog. Preferred structure is large head, heavy bone, wide rear end, packed with thick muscle, a large chest, and straight in the front and rear.

The temperament produced, is courage, loyalty, protective instincts, and extreme drive and maintain the intelligence and family companionship of the dog.
